Olympics Paris 2024

Description
The challenge was to leverage the Olympic Games' digital platform to create immersive and engaging experiences, driving a strong and effective B2P strategy while addressing the complexities of digital branding. This involved developing a neutral graphic line that gives prominence to the Games, creating a consistent design experience that brings together past, present, and future Olympic brands on the same site, and improving the compression and organization of various types of media content such as news, videos, podcasts, and events. In this case, I led the design of the articles page, defining specific typography styles to improve the readability of medium to long texts, as well as the design of image modules, videos, ads, featured phrases, or social networks. From Tokyo 2020 to Paris 2024, the Olympic digital presence saw significant growth: a 61% increase in users reached from Tokyo to Paris, a 560% overall rise since Rio, interactions on social media grew from 6.1B to 16.7B, and video views on web and app multiplied by 9. To ensure a consistent experience, we developed a scalable design system that supports both the core Olympics brand and the multiple sub-brands of each edition. Modular and flexible, it adapts to any host city and activation. The system is heavily based on modularity, allowing us to meet the high level of variation required by the project. Design decisions are streamlined through clear guidelines, enabling the creation of new modules using existing components as building blocks.
